Jeff Thies

Jeff Thies

Vice President, Leadership Institute and Governance Support
St. Joseph Health

As Vice President of the Leadership Institute, Jeff is responsible for leadership formation program development and governance support for the St. Joseph Health. He also currently serves as Interim EVP, Mission Integration for the Health System.

Prior to joining SJH, Jeff spent 15 years as an executive in the direct marketing industry, most recently Executive Vice President for World Marketing, a direct marketing service company. He also served on the Board of Directors and as Vice-Chairman of the Mailing and Fulfillment Service Association in Alexandria, Virginia.

Since 1996, he has been an adjunct professor for the MBA program of Loyola Marymount University’s College of Business Administration. Courses include Workplace Spirituality, Latin American Studies, and Managing a Multi-Cultural Workforce.

Jeff is a Board Member of Ministry Leadership Center and serves on the Ministry Leadership Development Committee of the Catholic Health Association. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for St. Joseph Hospital, Orange and has also served as Board Chair for the Loyola Institute for Spirituality, Orange, California.

Jeff earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Claremont School of Theology and Master of Arts, and Master of Divinity degrees from St. John’s Graduate School of Theology, Camarillo, California.
