The ministries of the St. Joseph Health consistently rank among the regional and national leaders for quality in the delivery of inpatient and outpatient care. All SJH hospital and home health entities are accredited by the Joint Commission and ten have received scores of 90 or better -- in many cases, with commendation.

Additional Quality Measures

Many SJH ministries have been recognized for care quality by national quality assessment organizations including:

  • Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital is recognized by the Joint Comission as a nationally accredited primary stroke center
  • Queen of the Valley Medical Center received the Overall Best Performer Award by Avatar International for consistent high standards of patient care across multiple service lines
  • St. Joseph Hospital - Orange achieved “Magnet” hospital designation for nursing excellence, the highest recognition in the nursing profession.
  • Covenant Health System earned 5-Star ratings from HealthGrades for the treatment of pneumonia and sepsis.
