The American Hospital Association (AHA), in partnership with the California Hospital Association (CHA) is honoring Ron DiLuigi, Vice President Advocacy and Government Affairs for St. Joseph Health as the 2009 Partnership for Action Grassroots Champion Award. DiLuigi is being recognized for his advocacy on behalf of health care providers and consumers on the local, regional and national levels as well as his exceptional leadership in generating grassroots and community activity in support of the mission of SJH.
“For more than a decade, Ron has worked tirelessly for our ministries, patients and communities,” said Deborah Proctor, President and CEO, St. Joseph Health. “His efforts have contributed significantly to the ongoing effort to ensure all Californians and Americans have access to quality, comprehensive care. We are proud of Ron’s accomplishments and thrilled that AHA has recognized him as a Grassroots Champion.”
He serves on the State of California Healthy Families Advisory Panel, the Orange County Business Council Board of Directors/Executive Committee, the Maternal Outreach Management System (MOMS) Board of Directors and the American Heart Association. He is a past member of the Yorba Linda Planning Commission. Prior to joining SJH, Ron had a 27-year career in government, most recently as Director of the Orange County Health Care Agency. Ron received his Masters Degree in Public Administration from California State University, Fullerton, and is a graduate of the Management Executive Program at University of California, Irvine.
