SJHS to Host Annual Chaplain Education Day Feb 11, 2010 St. Joseph Health System Panelists and Speakers to Discuss the Topic of the Chaplain and Grief WHAT: Chaplain Education Day 2010 – St. Joseph Health Care System will present a full day educational conference for Chaplains, Spiritual Care Providers, surviving family members and those experiencing grief. The event will include panel discussions by chaplains, survivors, members of St. Joseph’s Palliative Care Team and will feature a keynote address on the Chaplain and Grief by the Rev. Richard Gilbert, PHD, Dmin, CT on “The Chaplain and Grief”. WHEN: Thursday, March 18, 2010 8:30am-3:30pm WHERE: St. Joseph Center – The Mother Louis Room 480 S. Batavia St. Orange, CA 92868 WHY: As part of its commitment to ongoing educational outreach, St. Joseph Health will host an enlightening and compelling one day conference for chaplains, spiritual care providers and others to enhance their skills in providing care and counseling for those who are experiencing grief due to the loss of a loved one. The full day program is as follows: 8:00 a.m. Program begins (Continental breakfast served) 9:00 a.m. Keynote by Richard Gilbert – The Chaplin and Grief: Obtain valuable information on how spiritual caregivers can be more present and helpful knowing the realities of time and energy.
