St. Joseph Hospital of Orange, Calif. and the Joshua Christopher Salon in Fullerton came together on May 6, for a day of pampering, food and fun at the fifth annual Cut for a Cure event. Nearly $3,200 was raised for The Center for Cancer Prevention and Treatment at St. Joseph Hospital.

Stylists from the Joshua Christopher Salon donated their time and talent to offer discounted hair and beauty services to the community. Attendees included St. Joseph Hospital cancer survivors and their friends and family, in addition to hospital physicians and staff.

"We are so grateful to the Joshua Christopher Salon and to everyone who came out to support this wonderful event," said Carmen Morales, Cut for a Cure committee lead. "The stylists and staff of the Joshua Christopher Salon spend countless hours contributing to the cancer fight in our community through event partnerships like these."

The fashion show models are nominated by St. Joseph Hospital physicians and staff to share their amazing stories of survival through their cancer journeys. One of the most recent additions to The Center for Cancer Prevention and Treatment is The Center for Breast Imaging and Diagnosis, which provides a full range of breast health services – from annual mammogram screenings to diagnostic services. Designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology, the Center offers fully digital screening and diagnostic mammograms, dedicated breast ultrasounds and minimally invasive biopsy techniques using ultrasound and stereotactic guidance.
