Patient Financial Assistance

At St. Joseph Health, we are committed to providing quality care to all our patients, regardless of ability to pay.

We believe that no one should delay seeking needed medical care because they lack health insurance. As a faith-based, nonprofit health care system dedicated to our mission of healing is dedicated to ensuring that no one in the communities we serve goes without adequate medical care.

Our Patient Financial Assistance Program helps to make our services available to everyone in our community. This includes people who don’t have health insurance and can’t pay their hospital bill, and patients who do have insurance but are unable to pay the portion of their bill that insurance doesn’t cover. In some cases, eligible patients may not be required to pay for services; in others, they may be asked to make partial payment.

If you believe you might be eligible for our program, have questions about eligibility requirements, or need help applying for a government-sponsored insurance program, please contact a financial services representative at one of our hospitals (see right side column) who will work with you to determine your eligibility.

Please remember that access to necessary healthcare is not affected by eligibility for financial assistance. St. Joseph Health is committed to treating all those who come to us for care.
