General Grants
Grantees are considered to be partners with the SJHS Health Ministries, working together to improve the health and well-being of communities. It is important that all applicants develop a relationship with their local SJHS Health Ministry’s Community Benefit department before applying for funding. Please contact the Foundation to be put in touch with your local SJHS Health Ministry Community Benefit contact.
SJHS Foundation grant applicants must be
nonprofit organizations
that are exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code and are defined as “not a private foundation” under Section 509(a). Applicants must submit a copy of the IRS letter of determination.
