Kevin Manemann is the President and Chief Executive Officer for St. Joseph
Heritage Healthcare (Heritage), one of the largest physician practice
management organizations in California. Heritage is comprised of eight
medical groups and five affiliated physician networks with more than 2,000
Prior to his appointment as CEO, Manemann served as chief operating officer
(COO) for Heritage’s Southern California region. During this time,
he became known for aligning operations around patient needs, making data
more available to providers and patients, developing trusting provider
partnerships, and expanding services for vulnerable patients. He has twice
won St. Joseph Health’s Values in Action Award (in 2004 and 2010).
Kevin also continues to lead the population health division for St. Joseph
Hoag Health. In this role, he facilitates development of new models that
integrate acute and ambulatory teams to transform health care delivery.
His population health management programs have resulted in increased quality
and patient experience, while significantly reducing overall health care
costs. Kevin spearheaded the development of the Clinically Integrated
Network (CIN), driving innovative solutions and laying the foundation
for easier interoperability and secure data sharing across the continuum
of care, enabling physicians and caregivers to make informed decisions
at the point of care. Kevin has been instrumental in building a unified
physician leadership team across Southern California to increase collaboration
and streamline decision making, which has greatly impacted overall physician
Prior to this role, Kevin served as Vice President of Operations at St.
Jude Medical Center, where he had financial, strategic and managerial
oversight of nearly a dozen departments including St. Jude Medical Center’s
nationally recognized St. Jude Centers for Rehabilitation, imaging services,
laboratory, information technology, and the hospital’s highly‐respected
cancer services. He also led the deployment of Ambulatory Electronic Medical
Records for over 1,000 providers within St. Joseph Health.
Kevin brings 15 years of ambulatory and acute operational experience, in
addition to health care IT, where he has focused on aligning IT solutions
with clinical and business operations. Kevin received a master’s
degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University, his bachelor’s
degree in business administration from the University of Iowa, and is
Black Belt certified in Toyota’s LEAN model.
