Dr. H. Amir Azad is a nephrologist currently practicing in Mission Viejo,
California. He joined Mission Internal Medical Group in August of 2011.
He earned a bachelors degree in microbiology from University of Florida
in Gainesville and obtained his medical degree from University of Southern
Florida in Tampa. Dr. Azad did his internal medicine residency at University
of California. He became the Chief Medical Resident followed by nephrology
fellowship at UCI Medical Center. After finishing his fellowship in nephrology,
he started his medical practice as assistant clinical professor and later
as an associate clinical professor at UCI Medical Center. He participated in
numerous clinical trials and also served on the institutional review board
that approves all in-depth evaluations of treatment modalities. Dr. Azad
was also involved in teaching medical students, medical residents, and
nephrology fellows.
He moved to private practice after working 7 years at UCI Medical Center
in 2006. He practiced in Las Vegas for 1 year before joining South County
Nephrology Consultants in 2007 in Mission Viejo. He has remained in private
practice in the Mission Viejo area. He has also remained as an associate
clinical professor at UCI Medical Center.
