    Dr. Ashizawa finds that the intimate relationship between a doctor and a patient is what makes medicine rewarding. The friendships that he forms with his families last a lifetime and seeing their children grow into adults and start their own families is to him what gives family medicine its greatest joys.

    Being involved in the activities of his church is important to Dr. Ashizawa. He is a member of the Servant Team of the church singles ministry and enjoys bible study. He also enjoys snow skiing, hiking, music, fishing, and art.
