Dr. Barrera is the kind of doctor everyone wants: he is empathetic, caring, a good listener, explains well. He takes the whole person into account, offering encouragement, not criticism. He is open to trying natural supplements in lieu of prescriptions, and congratulates on your efforts with diet and exercise.

Worried about my high cholesterol. I wished he gave me a pamphlet about do & don't. Or sent me to a dietician.
