My primary care provider is excellent, but NOT accessible. Takes 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 wks to get an appt. Therefore, with an urgent need for med. attention since *DATE*, I have had to rely on Urgent Care visits & visits w nurse practitioner. When specialist made referral for outpatient surgery, it took 5 weeks for referral approval. NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Dr Bach took the time to evaluate my situation and checked various items to validate any possible diagnoses.

I fell into Dr. *NAME* charge after Dr. *NAME* left St. Joseph Health. Prior to my recent appointment, I hadn't seen Dr. *NAME* for a year - since my hysterectomy. I asked for the usual lab work to be ordered prior to my usual appointment. She ordered a pregnancy test. A pregnancy test! This was my last appointment with Dr. *NAME*: I'm changing providers. This is the normal with Dr. *NAME* in my six or seven years with her: orders way too many unnecessary lab tests, no follow-up, and any data collected is not kept within the context of the patient at all. My occupation places me at risk for many concerns, I am having to remind her about them at every visit. I have a remarkable history myself and in my family of diabetes. I have to remind her of it at every visit. I had suffered pain far too long before Dr. *NAME* did anything about it - and only at my persistent requests. Her suggestions were to send me to her own gyn. dr, not mine. The day of and after my hysterectomy surgery, after the histological reports from my removal of uterus and ovary, I never received even a phone call asking how I am doing post-op. My Gyn was livid with her when he heard of how Dr. *NAME* let these issues continue needlessly over six years, and in coordinating the hysterectomy, Dr. *NAME* was uncooperative, delaying the tests and release forms necessary to perform the surgery. I am changing to find a doctor who is pro-active, can keep context of patient lifestyle and occupation and familial history in mind for each decision, and to find a doctor who has the experience to help me stay on top of my diagnosis as I age. All health successes I have had have been on my own, unfortunately it wasn't a shared effort. Most appointments felt highly bureaucratic, ...boxes checked, items billed, but not much attention paid to the person, rushed out of the door even though most appointments started a half hour late. Maintenance seems to be Dr. *NAME* goal - even if the status quo is not desirable. Personally, I need a doctor who will partner with me, and be as proactive as I am.
