While every day is different in family practice, one constant is the importance
of the relationships you build with patients. Caring for someone through
all ages and stages of life offers you a unique role, allowing you to
be proactive in protecting their health and improving their well-being,
not simply treating illness.
From pediatrics to geriatrics, I enjoy offering the full spectrum of care
and hopefully making a difference in my patients' lives. I believe
my patients would describe me as someone who cares, listens and follows-through,
whether that means taking the time to answer every question or promptly
returning phone calls. In family practice, a commitment to staying abreast
of new research and treatments is essential—as is a little humility
and recognizing what a privilege it is to care for patients.
