Dr. Gee could be more communicative..rather than waiting for the patient to ask about alternative therapies he should be offering all options and explaining all so the patient can make fully informed choices.

Dr. Gee spent probably 5 mins total, and I was undergoing complex treatment for severe atypical facial pain. Dr. Gee wasn't even involved on my treatment team. My endocrinologist referred me to a neurosurgeon for my treatment. This visit was only my 2nd with Dr. Gee. I saw him 4 months prior. He knew of my atypical facial pain, and put me on two supplements. That was his treatment the first visit. Then 1 mo later I saw his PA and she asked me about my medications -- and how they were working. I told her Dr. Gee did not prescribe any medications, and my PCP and another provider prescribed my meds and monitored my meds. Then the PA said I could come back and see her again in 4 months or so. I told her I need help from Dr. Gee, the neurologist for my condition. I asked for another appt with Dr. Gee and received an appt in 4 months. I literally needed a neurologist on my case, and he was aloof. My PCP who I love referred me to Dr. Gee saying he was a very good neurologist. I was going through daily significant nerve pain in my mouth and Dr. Gee was not involved at all in treating me. I will not return to him.
