  • Biography

A love of teaching and a desire to help people live happier and healthier lives inspired me to become a physician. I care for the person as well as the disease, and my work in clinical research trials ensures patients have access to the newest treatment options. Over the years I have found that successful treatment is a result of working in partnership with my patients. Together, we can prevent a variety of conditions and related complications, as well as achieve a healthier lifestyle.

To further advance the treatment of endocrine disorders, I serve as Medical Director of Clinical Trials at St. Jude Heritage Healthcare, speak nationally on the latest innovations, and participate on St. Jude Medical Center’s committee to improve diabetes care.

Dr Gilbert is over worked/booked. He does his best under the circumstances, and I like him very much. St Jude needs additional Endocrinologists to lighten the workload. You are going to burn out your physicians. I've seen it happen at The Diamond Bar location, as some of my favorite physicians are gone.
excellent doctor, very competent and friendly demeanor
Dr Gilbert is always very professional, and helpful when I have questions.
    dr. gilbert is very good.
This was one of the most detailed and informative medical visits I have had in the last year. He answered every question I asked. He offered new medical information concerning my thyroid condition, and had good suggestions for medications. He had lab tests done at the end of my visit and gave immediate feedback when results were in. He looks at the whole patient's condition, symptoms, and concerns, not just the number range of lab results.
