Dr. Tom Guyn has been a Hospitalist with Santa Rosa Memorial since 2009. Dr. Guyn returned to his home state of California after having worked and lived in both Minnesota and Germany several years. As a Hospitalist, Dr. Guyn is dedicated to caring for patients during their hospital stay and providing the communication necessary to return care to the primary care physician once discharged from the hospital setting. His career has taken him from private practice and consultant services to acute care medicine.
Dr. Guyn has an interest in environmental health and has earned a Masters of Arts in Values and the Environment (MAVE). Dr. Guyn is an active on several Medical Staff committee including the Physicians Advisory Committee (PAC) designing the development and safe transition to an electronic medical record.
Dr. Guyn attended Chico State for his undergraduate work, then UC Santa Barbara for graduate studies in Genetics and protein structure. He then traveled to Rome for Medical School, where he later met his wife. Dr. Guyn and his wife now reside in Santa Rosa and have 2 children. His interest includes running, pottery, Taekwondo (a Black Belt), opera, ballet and the Great Works.
