Jesus Hidalgo moved to the United States from his native Venezuela in March 2006 to pursue a surgical background at both the Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston, and Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Following his stint on the East Coast, Dr. Hidalgo relocated to Lubbock to complete his fellowship in Surgery, Burn, and Wound Care at the UMC Timothy J. Harnar Regional Burn Center. The Harnar Burn Center is one of only 65 dual ABA and ACS verified centers in the United States, and currently sees the 11th highest volume of burn patients nationwide.

In late December of 2015, Dr. Hidalgo became the full-time Wound Care Specialist at the Covenant Center for Outpatient Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine. With his extensive experience in the management of partial and full-thickness ulcers, bio-engineered skin grafting, surgical and enzymatic debridement, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and nutritional management, he is able to offer a comprehensive approach that impacts the quality of care offered to West Texas’ wound care patients.

Ultimately, Dr. Hidalgo’s goal is to achieve the best possible clinical outcome for every patient, and dedicate his time and efforts to patients’ whole body wellness and an improved quality of life.
