    Philosophy of Care
It is a great privilege to work as a radiation oncologist here in Humboldt County with our amazing and caring clinic staff who make caring for each patient truly a team effort. My philosophy of care is to treat each patient as I would a close friend or family member, and I therefore feel a responsibility to offer the very best techniques, treatment plans, and interdisciplinary coordination possible for every patient. In some cases, offering the best care means referring to a specialist at an academic medical center, and in those cases our team here works hard to assist with coordination of such care.

I am a strong proponent of multidisciplinary cancer clinics, where surgeons, medical oncologist, radiation oncologists, and other members of the cancer care team see patients together to simplify the patient experience, and am working to help develop such clinics here at St. Joseph Hospital.

    Personal Interests / Hobbies:
I enjoy spending time with my family, including outdoor activities such as running, hiking, and soccer, and indoor activities such as reading, music, and volunteer work at church.
