Dr. Mayo is a Board Certified Orthopedic surgeon and bring decades of general
orthopedic and sports medicine experience to his practice at St Jude Heritage
group. He completed his medical degree and residency at of the Mayo school
of medicine in Minnesota. From weekend to full professional athlete, he
treats the broad spectrum of acute sports, overuse injuries and complex
fracture injuries in the upper and lower extremities. He is a specialist
in treating chronic arthritis pain and offers the latest minimally invasive
techniques in joint replacement surgery including the Anterior Hip Replacement,
if conservative care fails to achieve results.
Dr. Mayo is an active member of the American Association of Hip and Knee
Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He regularly
mentors Physician Assistant Residents and chairs the St Judes Orthopedic
Case Review to review new techniques, spread depth of experience, and
problem solve difficult or unusual cases with his peers.
