Throughout Dr. McClung's childhood in Mississippi, he was exposed to
various aspects of medicine by his mother, a registered nurse, anesthetist,
and midwife. This inspired both Dr. McClung and his brother to become
physicians with the goal of delivering patient exceptional care. Having
practiced medicine in Southern California since 1979, Dr. McClung has
a special interest in personalized preventative health care and geriatrics.
Dr. McClung excels at developing relationships with his patients and providing
state-of-the-art health care. He always makes his patients a priority
and takes great pride in creating personalized health plans to allow his
patients to reach their goals. This is based on knowledge of each patient's
past medical history and current problems and then a Health maintenance
program is established.
As Dr. Mc Clung states, "I still enjoy the relationships I have made
over the years with my patients and their confidence in me. This personal
relationship is my favorite aspect of medicine today. I especially enjoy
the challenge that comes with each patient. I not only address the issues
at hand, but I also seek ways to improve each patient's health and
provide a great experience. I am a firm believer in preventative care
and conducting yearly reviews for each of my patients so they can receive
the continuation of care they deserve."
After attending Ole Miss and graduating from University of Tennessee, Memphis
School of Medicine, Dr. McClung completed an internship at the University
Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. He also served five years in the U.S. Army
in Vietnam and Germany as a flight surgeon.
A long time Orange County resident, Dr. McClung enjoys boating, golf, antiques,
and collecting baseball/golf memorabilia in his spare time.
