    Dr. Omar Ozgur is a board-certified ophthalmologist fellowship trained in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Ozgur obtained his BS in Information and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine, and his medical degree from the University of Vermont, College of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mt. Sinai. He then completed an American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) accredited fellowship at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Medical Center. 

    Prior to medical school, Dr. Ozgur worked as a software engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Throughout his medical career, he has been integrating computer technology with medical care and research and has had the opportunity to work as an aerospace medicine intern at the Kennedy Space Center and as a co-investigator at the Johnson Space Center. He has been involved in research studies investigating ocular, orbital and facial changes in astronauts. Dr. Ozgur has published articles in several peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research at national and international meetings.

    Specially trained in a 2-year fellowship program at the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center with 6-months at Texas Oculoplastic Consultants (TOC), Dr. Ozgur provides medical and surgical care of abnormalities of the eyelids, tear-drainage system, orbit and upper and mid-face. He also has specific training in cancer of the eyelids, orbit, and ocular adnexa. Through his training at TOC, Dr. Ozgur gained expertise on the intricacies of cosmetic oculofacial surgery as well as non-invasive facial rejuvenation.
