    Biography

    Dr. Latha Prasannan specializes in pediatric hematology and oncology at Covenant Women’s and Children’s and is passionate about delivering the best care for children facing cancer and other blood disorders. She is boardcertified in pediatrics and pediatric hematology and oncology by the American Board of Pediatrics.

    Dr. Prasannan completed medical school at JIPMER, Pondicherry under the University of Madras in India, a pediatric residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical School, Lebanon, N.H. and then a fellowship in pediatric hematology / oncology at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich. She has held clinical faculty positions at Madison Medical School, Wisconsin; Texas A&M University and Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Currently she is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock.

    Under the leadership of Dr. Prasannan the pediatric oncology program at Covenant provides excellent care through a multi-disciplinary approach and state-of-the-art treatment for all pediatric tumors. Patients benefit from newer treatment regimen with superior outcomes through clinical trial enrollment.
