So many people today suffer from debilitating conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, osteoporosis, lupus and other diseases of the joints, muscles and bones. I chose to practice Rheumatology so I could help individuals with these conditions live well. At my last appointment (the appt just before this one), my CRP level came back high. I told Dr. Pang that I had stopped taking prednisone because I wasn't experiencing any pain and I was concerned about the long-term affect. She told me I 'picked a bad time to stop taking' the medication. So I resumed taking it. Then at this appointment, she tells me that I need to stop taking it because I've been taking it too long.
