Dr. Kevin Ro has had a lifelong commitment to endocrinology. He became interested in the field at an early age, influenced by close family members with endocrine disorders. During college at UCLA, he had the opportunity to work with the Division of Endocrine Surgery and Endocrinology to investigate endocrine disorders. He continued these scholarly activities throughout medical school at UCLA, residency at UC Irvine, and fellowship at UCLA. He has published his research on the thyroid and parathyroid in multiple peer review scientific journals.
Dr. Ro’s clinical interests in endocrinology are comprehensive and include disorders of the thyroid, parathyroid, bone, diabetes, adrenal, pituitary, and more. His fellowship training at UCLA provided him the opportunity to manage patients with a wide spectrum of endocrine disorders, from the common to the rarest of the rare. At the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, a major tertiary-quaternary care center which is a clinical site of his fellowship training, Dr. Ro frequently worked with patients with complex co-morbidities in addition to endocrine disorders, including patients with prior heart, liver, pancreas, lung, kidney, and multi-organ transplants.
Above all, Dr. Ro is a devoted and diligent physician who provides personalized and meticulous care for his patients. Dr. Ro incorporates the most recent research and guidelines to provide evidence-based, up-to-date care for every one of his patients.
