This was only my second visit.
    They seemed rushed.
Provider says he's "99 percent" sure I have prostate cancer but has only performed one DRE in 4 office visits since Aug. 2016, during which he found one nodule during the first visit. The size of my prostate has never been determined, nor has a biopsy been performed, which means no Gleason Score, no free PSA number. He described the previous temporary provider's DRE finding of an abnormality as a "soft spot." He can't remember when he put me on finasteride, but was surprised that it didn't shrink my prostate by half and drop my PSA by half after 9 months, as he said it would. He prescribed Bactrim for a severe case of UTI in November 2016, and was surprised when I told him in Feb. 2017 I had been taking Bactrim for three months because the prescription was for six months. "But I only prescribed a 2-week supply." During our lengthy 8/8/2017 office visit, we agreed on a bladder scan followed by a biopsy a few days later as soon as possible to determine whether or not I have prostate cancer and, if so, what stage it's in. I requested the biopsy in order to stop dealing with all of the unknowns in my case and to make better treatment decisions given that I have a history of UTI/prostate infections and no definite cancer-only symptoms or test results. The reservations clerk had to go back to him twice in order to make sense of his handwritten notes on the types of procedures he had ordered as I patiently waited to get the appointment times. Perhaps the same issue caused the staff to order 6-months worth of Bactrim refills in November 2016.
Would've liked more time to talk about health issues.
Provided me with prescriptions of pills that... other prescription.
