    Dr. Shayan is an active practicing cardiothoracic surgeon that specializes in training in thoracic transplantation and heart failure surgery. He also acts as an academic appointment as a clinical assistant professor at Western University of Health Sciences, California. He has won several awards such as Founder and President of Avicenna Vision Canadian Charity, International Gold Foundation Humanism Award, David and Anne Beach Scholarship, just to name a few. Dr. Shayan is licensed in Pennsylvania, California, Illinois, and British Columbia.
