Inspired by her own physicians and realizing what a difference the “right” doctor can make, Dr. Sweetser has modeled her patient care after physicians she admires and trusts. Her goal is to provide her patients with a comfortable and collaborative environment where they can work together as a team.
Dr. Sweetser is highly invested in her patients and focuses on patient education. She believes that knowledge and trust are the two most important aspects of a successful doctor-patient relationship and strives to achieve this with each person she works with. Additionally, she is a proponent of lifestyle management and making modifications to prevent illnesses.
As Dr. Sweetser states it best, “I truly enjoy getting to know my patients and their families. I learn a lot through each interaction and appreciate the complexity and variety that each patient brings. I appreciate the opportunity to care for my patents for their entire life span and serve as a resource through all stages of life.”
A graduate of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Dr. Sweetser completed her residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. With more than six years of experience as a board certified Internist, Dr. Sweetser has special interests in obesity, diabetes, and women’s health.
A wife and mother of three young children, Dr. Sweetser enjoys being outdoors, whether it is hiking or visiting the beach, reading and cooking when she is away from the office.
