“Dr. Ron”, as he is known by his patients and their parents
is a Bay Area native with over 24 years of experience in pediatric medicine.
He attended the University of California - Berkeley, earning a Bachelor
of Science degree with honors in molecular biology and obtained his medical
degree in 1992 from the School of Medicine at the University of California
- San Diego. He completed his pediatric residency at Kaiser Medical Center
in Oakland. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Ron spent three years in Japan providing
pediatric care for United States Military and diplomatic families stationed
abroad. Prior to medical school, he worked for the American Red Cross
where he established and carried out health education directives for the
Dr. Ron provides comprehensive medical care for infants, children and adolescents,
acting as their primary care physician. His goal is to partner with his
patients and their parents to provide comprehensive quality care working
closely with each family to ensure that the child is developing and maturing
properly. He strives to achieve the common goal of a healthy lifestyle
for his patients and help parents with the difficult, but fulfilling task
of parenting. Dr. Ron has a special interest in adolescent medicine.
Dr. Ron currently lives on a vineyard in Cloverdale, California, where
he and his wife Patricia grow cabernet sauvignon wine grapes commercially,
raise sheep, tend chickens and keep a large garden, including an orchard
of various fruit trees. He is an active parent in the lives of his twin
children and values tremendously the time he shares with them. Dr. Ron
believes that having a strong parent-child relationship is the best practical
training he could receive as a pediatrician.
During his free time, he enjoys traveling, winemaking, cooking, sculpting,
art appreciation and community volunteering.
