    Dr Shea seemed to think I was there for elective surgery and seemed to be in no hurry to help. I still haven't been contacted for MRI. I was and am still in very serious pain. Dr Shea said I'd have to go back to the referring doctor for medication. He seemed really worried about OPIOD scrutiny. That doesn't help my pain which is my concern. I'll go to my next appt. but not sure after that. He asked me if I wanted a cortisone shot or what. I thought he should have heard my symptoms and pain and had his own opinion.

    I was hoping that he could help me figure out what my problem was, but he didn't really seem to have any ideas (other than arthritis in my back which he had no solution for). I think it would have been good to get an MRI first but he didn't suggest that, he's now ordered one but it's been more than a week and I haven't heard anything. Also I was really hoping for a non-surgical solution and when I said that he said "I'm a surgeon". I think he & I had different ideas of what would happen & even of what his job was. I got only a small amount of useful information. I think he might be a perfectly fine Dr. for some people but not for me. It would have been very helpful if he'd asked for/recommended an MRI before I came in. I was hoping he'd be able to
