    Dr. Taleisnik completed his orthopaedic training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and a Hand Surgery Fellowship with Dr. Joseph H. Boyes and Herbert Stark in Los Angeles.

    Considered one of the world’s most foremost authorities in the field, Dr. Taleisnik is the author of the book, “The Wrist.”

    His special interests include hand and wrist surgery, and arthritic, rheumatoid and degenerative problems of the upper extremity.

    Dr. Taleisnik is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Hand Surgery He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American College of Surgeons, the Western Orthopaedic Association, and a member of international societies. He is Past President of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.

    In practice in Orange County since 1966, Dr. Taleisnik has published extensively, including many articles and book chapters. He has chaired and participated in hundreds of panels in this country and abroad, and has served as a Course Faculty Member and Chairman for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.

    He is a frequent guest lecturer acting in the capacity of Visiting Professor throughout the world. He is a Clinical Professor, Department of Surgery (Orthopaedics) at the University of California, Irvine.
