Today, we honor the memory and vast contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a man committed to justice and to serving others.
At St. Joseph Health, we reflect upon Dr. King's legacy and the foundation he built to ensure every person is treated with dignity and compassion.
Dr. King once said, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'"
Every year, people across the country answer that question. They feed the hungry, visit the imprisoned, help in hospitals and clinics, plant flowers and trees, and otherwise serve their neighbors and communities. This commitment to service is something that we, at St. Joseph Health, hold dear.
Each day, we at St. Joseph Health extend the healing ministry of Jesus in the tradition of the sisters of St. Joseph of Orange by continually improving the health and quality of life of people in the communities we serve. Today, let's all pause to reflect upon the power of service, big or small.
