Apply for a Grant
Most SJH Community Partnership Fund grants are awarded through a competitive
request for proposal (RFP) process. Grant seekers must also meet the following
criteria in order to be considered:
- Applicant must be a 501(c) nonprofit organization, and defined as “not
a private foundation” under Section 509(a).
-
Funded programs and services must not conflict with the
Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.
- Applicants must provide service to residents in one of the St. Joseph Health
(SJH) service areas –– the regions in which SJH hospitals
are located. See list of hospitals and locations below.
- Applicants must be endorsed by their local SJH hospital to apply for grant funding.
The Community Partnership Fund supports programs that exemplify the SJH
core values of Dignity, Service, Excellence and Justice, and will not
knowingly award grants to organizations that discriminate with respect
to age, gender, race, creed or color. See
Grant Initiatives for descriptions of our current grant programs.
