    Biography
Dr. Brad Drexler is proud to have been able to care for the women of Sonoma County for 20 years. He earned his bachelor's degree at the University of California, San Diego and his medical degree at the University of Southern California, School of Medicine. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Kaiser Hospital in Oakland in 1987 and became board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He became interested in obstetrics after reading Dr. Leboyer's "Birth without violence"- about delivery from a baby's perspective. As a graduating resident, Dr. Drexler received the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) award for top resident in minimally invasive surgery, and has continued an interest in this, including laparoscopic hysterectomy. He was a co-director at the Northern California Center for Fertility in Sacramento for two years. Then he moved to Sonoma County, attracted by its weather and beauty. He started his OB/GYN practice in Healdsburg in 1991 and opened a new satellite office in Santa Rosa in 2010. Dr. Drexler has served on the boards of the Sonoma County Health Action and the Pacific Foundation for Medical Care. He was elected president of the Sonoma County Medical Association in 2008, and given their award for contributions to the Medical Association in 2009. As a delegate to the California Medical Association House of Delegates, he has authored many resolutions on public health policy and healthcare reform. He is also currently a volunteer on the Sonoma County Medical Reserve Corps. His professional interests include: high-risk obstetrics, operative laparoscopy, infertility, female urology, smoking cessation, and evidence-based medicine.
